    Question Bluetooth and wireless keyboards/mice

Hello everyone. I'm wondering about the effectiveness of bluetooth for wireless keyboards and mice. In one of our conference rooms we have an A/V system that includes a PC. The PC is inside a cabinet on the floor. The door to the cabinet is always closed. I'm wondering if I were to get a bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse combo in which I plug a bluetooth adapter into a USB port on the PC are the odds good or bad that the signal strength will be sufficient to make it through the cabinet door, as well as through the person sitting at the table using the wireless keyboard/mouse? Any thoughts?

How far away? I'm thinking that at best you'll get 12-15 feet. They aren't really designed for distance. If its only a few feet, then I think it should work fine. Some of the RF combos claim to go to 25 feet (http://gyrationwireless.com/category/gyration-wireless), but then you have to also worry about interference.

    telecomguy,
Hello... Why not use a Logitech wireless MX mouse and Keyboard combo ? With the supplied software you can use one receiver (USB type ) and several mice and keyboards if you want ... also comes with an external receiver extender for extra signal strength (mounts receiver away from PC ).
