    Link's in email won't work

When I receive an email with a link and click on the link I get the following message "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Pleaase contact sytem Administrator." I am using Win7 x64 and Outlook 2010. This is a home computer and on a home network. The program worked fine last night and this morning I had to reboot Outlook and then this problem started. Any ideas on how I should go about repairing?

    Jerry,

Hyperlinks have stopped working in Windows Live Mail. Will the Fixit work for that, and if so when I run the Fixit what folder do I choose? (I realise this is probably a stupid question, but I do not want to cause any more problems in WLM).

    Please advise.

    Thanks and regards,Roy

The Fixit will execute the steps detailed in the KB article. None of them appear to be directly related to Outlook so There is a good chance it may work for you. No guarantees though. I would create a system restore point or a backup image before running the Fixit for safety. (what can go wrong? :>) ). Not sure which folder you are referring to but if its for the download, it shouldn't matter where you put it and/or execute it from.

    Hi Jerry,

The folder I referred to was not for the download but for the folder choice referred to when you run the Fixit. At any rate, I had one or two other problems so I decided to do a clean reinstall of Win 7, and I am pleased to say all the problems have gone.

    Regards,Roy
