    Is IE9 better than IE8?

    Hi,

I am currently using IE8. Is IE9 that much a better browser that it would be worth my while to upgrade? My OS is Windows 7 Professional and my computer is 674-bit.

    Thank you.

IMO, IE9 is much better than IE8. It is more standards compliant. It is faster, more stable, & more secure. Besides, if you try IE9 and don't like it you can just uninstall it and return to IE8.

IE9 is certainly faster than IE8, MSFT say it's more secure, so far it's been stable for me.

There is really nothing at which IE 9 does not beat IE 8. IE 9 is much, much better. Replaced Chrome as my main browser.

I had IE9 RC and Chrome installed. Once IE9 RTM was released, I rid myself of my second browser. I have not found a site that will not open in IE9. It seeems much more stable, faster than Chrome (beats the tail off FF), is more standards compliant, and in my humble opinion is hands down the best browser.
