    get string return if MAX returns 0

    Cell M4 has below formula.
    =MAX(0,TODAY()-LOOKUP(9E+300,H:H))

    How can I get a string return in M4 if this formula gives no return in M4, that is, M4 shows no return or, I assume, = 0.

    =IF((MAX(0,TODAY()-LOOKUP(9E+300,H:H)))=0,"string",(MAX(0,TODAY()-LOOKUP(9E+300,H:H))))

    There's and extra set of "()" around the MAX() function for "clarity".

    Thanks Pjustice,

    Jeesh, You folks make it looks so easy. I tried all sorts of "IFs", none of them worked, pesky circular issues. This is so obvious, arrgh..
