    File Save as default

I have a Text File folder, I use all the time. Can the default location for the file save or file save as be changed from the My documents?

That depends entirely on the application and what configuration options it provides. Many applications use the value found in the registry at HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\Shell Folders\Personal, or HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Exp lorer\User Shell Folders\Personal (or by calling a specific API function that wields this same value). You can, of course, change the default documents location either by editing the registry directly or by using configuration tweaking tools such as TweakUI, TweakVista or Tweak7.

Another option, also possible with the tweaking tools, is to add a new preferences folder that will show up in the left side of the Save As dialog.

What program is being used with the file? For example, if you are using MS Word, you can change the default location within MS Word.
