    Unhappy "Microsoft Bus Driver" error message when installing a RealTek sound card

    PROBLEM, trying to reinstall the same audio driver after having install a fresh Windows Xp Pro, on an old Gateway machine, what can I do? Thanks!

    since you're using XP SP2, you need to install the 888111 hotfix, which has the missing "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio" driver for the Realtek HD audio card. that hotfix should be bundled with the latest Realtek HD audio drivers and should automatically install it.
