    Outlook 2010 Hangs

I have office 2010 installed on a win 7 x64 machine. Outlook is running in 32 and keeps hanging when it downloads my email from a pop3 account. I have turned off all addins but it continues to hang. Any ideas on what I should be looking for?

If you have web mail access check your email at the ISP for large attachments or a suspicious looking email.

Do you leave emails on the remote server for x amount of days?

If so, it could just be Outlook and the remote server synchronising what you have deleted locally.

Browni: I do not leave any emails on the server

JoeP517: I don't use web mail so shouldn't have anything to do with it.

I'm not saying that web mail is the problem but that you may be able to use web mail to see where the problem lies. It should allow you to inspect your email at the ISP before Outlook attempts to download it.
