Header (only on first page) (Office97 SR1)

This is probably too easy.
How do I keep a header on the first page only.
I updated a stationary template. Old one does not show header on 2nd page. My new one does and I looked at all options to see a comparison and am not finding it. I could not use old template.

2 ways:
1. File/Page Setup.../Layout tab/Headers & Footers/ & tick Different first page. Then make sure you go to the header on the second page & cut it & paste it into the first page header.
2. Open the header on the SECOND page, click the "same as previous" button on the header/footer toolbar, & delete the header on the second page. This will leave the header on the first page & delete the next header.

Cheers,

See How can I get a different header/footer on the second (and subsequent) page(s)? (addbalance.com/word/headersfooters.htm).

You may also want to take a look at the letterhead system downloadable from my downloads page and see if you can pick up a few ideas.

Hope this helps,
