    Have I got a page for you! <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    See (addbalance.com/word/datefields1.htm) or <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.personal-computer-tutor.com/chas5.htm> Dates in Word (All 'Bout Computers column).

    Your questions will be answered!

    <P ID="edit" class=small>Edited by Phil Rabichow on 18-Oct-01 19:40.</P>Hi Wil:

    Look under the Insert menu for either "Date & Time" or "Field...". You'll see a number of formats and a number of switches for fields that will define the date in any of several formats. For example, using

    { TIME @ "dd MMMM yyyy" }

    will get you the first format that you're looking for.

    Oh, I almost forgot. You can use two fields if you want 1st October 2000

    { TIME @ "dd" * ordinal } { TIME @ "MMMM yyyy" }

    where the braces are inserted with Ctrl+F9.

    Hope this helps.

    Charles, Thanks for the great information. Your page is just packed full of good stuff.

    I have worked out how to use Alt-D to do just what I want.
