    Windows hibernates immediately on startup

When I bring up windows (XP) and log on to any user account it immediately turns off. The last message I see is 'preparing to hibernate'. I had just installed the MIRO TV application and was browsing around to find out what's in it when it went down the first time.

I would like to suggest that you UNinstall the,Miro TV application. That would be my first suspect.Down load this FREE software;http://www.superantispyware.com/ Do a deep scan on both programs.
    Also try this as well;http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
Then of course do a full scan with your anti-virus program as well.

Never heard of Miro TV but it sure does sound suspect. The OP does not states what AV app he has, but definitely always keep your security up to date. Be sure to download all the latest updates before running the above mentioned scans. Many of the AV apps have online scanners available as well.

Over many years, problems concerning Windows Hibernation have popped up on just about every Computer Help Forum.
It just seems to be an area of Problems.
To totally eliminate any problem from "Hibernation" I just completely Disable it and think of it no more.
I suggest that anyone else having Hibernation problems, do the same thing.

    Just a suggestion!
