Ignore the last question - here's a new one...

OK - I figured out how to import a csv file into Excel, but the formatting is off... Does anyone know how to format Excel using VBA to kind of automate it? Right now, when the file is imported, it takes several columns worth of data and inserts it all into 1 cell... Hope that makes sense... Help please!!!!!

    Hi,
What does your data have as a delimiter - i.e. how would Excel know where to split the data either in code or at the import stage? As long as you can specify that, coding it shouldn't be too hard if it's necessary.

A csv file is supposed to be comma delimited. If your file is comma delimited, you should be able to open it up in Excel without any macros required. On the other hand, if its records as just long strings with commas in the string, that won't work. Try opening it in Notepad and see what it shows. Your lines should not have quotes at the beginning and end.
