    Old code no longer works, why?

    I have been using this code for over a year and a half now and it worked perfectly fine.
    now for some reason it does not work.
    the part that is not working any longer is the ignore caps...
    I need it to reflect any type of letter (caps on or off)

    [
    please advise...
    [rivate Sub Workbook_Open()
    Dim strValue As String
    Dim Sht As Worksheets, foundSheet As Boolean, TEMPLATE As String
    Dim rng As Range
    Dim iRow As Long
    Dim myDate As Date, newDate As Date, oldSheet As String, newSheet As String
    Dim WS As Worksheet

    Application.ScreenUpdating = False
    Set WS = Sheets("job held data entry")
    WS.Activate
    Application.ScreenUpdating = True
    Application.SpellingOptions.IgnoreCaps = True
    end sub
    ]

    What OS and version of Excel are you using?

    I've just created a new xlsm file, copied your VBA into the Worksheet.Open event and entered some data containing proper words and misspelt words in both lowercase and all uppercase.

    With Application.SpellingOptions.IgnoreCaps = True then the SpellChecker does not pick up the misspelt words if they are all uppercase. If it is False then the spell checker does pick them up. Is that the behaviour you used to have and are expecting?

    I'm on XP SP3 and Excel 2007 SP2 (version of EXCEL.EXE is 12.0.6557.5000 which I think is SP2 plus a few updates).
