    Scheduled Task Window Popping Up

    Hi All,

On my wife's netbook, I created a scheduled task which runs a batch file consisting of Robocopy to backup her files to another machine. I've redirected the output of Robocopy to a log file as well as piping any other output to null (i.e. Robocopy.exe blah blah > NULL 2>&1).

However, every time the task runs a command windows pops up which is quite annoying. The window that pops up is completely empty (due to the output redirection). I don't want to simply run it as minimized either since it'll still be visible on the task bar and she may inadvertently shut it down and thus kill the backup.

Is there a way to run a cmd shell from a Scheduled Task such that no window will pop up. I just want it to run in the background at the scheduled time each day.

    Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Peter

See if Nirsoft - nircmd using "execmd" helps. More details at nircmd help.
