    Format of a "New" document

If I have a file type "dbp" that I have added to the "New" context menu list -- and it works -- how do I control the format of that document, so that I can set margins, tabs, have an inserted graphic etc. and then use THAT as the template for the "New" type?

    Regards,

Joe, it (this time) is a straight text file. Except it has certain "always there" characteristics.

The same thing has come up with Word 2010 and Live Writer.
