    Sp1

Earlier this month I downloaded Windows 7 SP1 and installed it successfully
without apparently experiencing any of the difficulties that others have encountered
    - at least so I thought !
Now however having today installed various Windows Security updates on
referreing to Updates History I noticed that there were two asjacent entries on 6th
June relating to SP1, one indicating tha installationn had failed and the other
that it had been cancelled. On looking into this further there was a reference to
Windows error code 80004014 whuch Windows Trouble Shooter failed to remedy.
Yet more surprising on running the "Winver" command this revealed that the
installed version of \Windows was Window 7 SP1 (Version6.1 Build 7601 Service Pack
    1)
Furthermore I have since been informed that two Seccurity updateS for
Microsoft Net framework 3.5.1 on Windows 7 SP1 were available for downloadI and
both these have now apparently been successfully installed.
All this has left me cthoroughly confused as to whether or not I have a
    working installation of SP1.
Comments and suggestions wpould be appreciated.

I would say it sure looks like SP1 is installed. If it were not, some of the updates you described wouldn't be offered and SP1 would most likely show as an update, as well.

    mzee,
Hello... If you go to "Computer">Right Click>Properties.... it will show if you have "SP-1" or in my case SP-0 (none) Regards Fred

Many thanks for your comments and suggestions. Reference to Computer Properties confirms that SP1 is installed so I must conclude that the two negative references to SP1 in Update History are some form of aberation which I am now happy to ignore.
