    Graphics Card Question

    I have an Acer AX3400G-U4802 Desktop PC with a Nvidia GE force 9200 Graphics card, and am looking for an upgrade, Heard ATI Radeon HD 4670 might be a good upgrade at approximately $80.00 cost or even looking for something beefier. Any ideas.

    Hi NBB,

    Your 9200 graphics chip is integrated into your motherboard, but you do have the required PCI-E x16 expansion slot to add a video card. The problem you will have is your PC has a 220W power supply, and the ATI Radeon HD 4670 specs indicate a 400W power supply is required to use the card. Check this AMD (ATI) screen for the system requirements.

    See the attached .pdf of your Acer's specs.

    It will be very difficult to find a discrete video card that will work with your current power supply. You might check Acer's support site to see what other power supply options are available for your slim line PC.

    Thank you, I suppose that's why the rascal was reasonably priced.
