    Tab Behavior

I use the Home tab most in all of the Office applications and most often have more than one thing to do, but when I hit enter it reverts back to the File tab. Is there some way to stop it from moving off the tab in use?

Office 2010, I presume. In Word, mine defaults to the Home tab when I open a document and never reverts to File by itself. I wonder whether this is a configurable option?

    Tab Behavior

Thanks jscher2000. Your reply caused me to notice that it was ONLY in Excel that the behavior was troubling. I checked and found that I had inadvertently checked to minimize the ribbon, which is what caused it to disappear when I hit enter.
