    Recent Windows XP Update

Recently I was notified of a number of priority updates. However, when I attempted to download and install the updates, many of them failed. I have tried to follow the instructions from Microsoft to no avail.

    The failed updates are:
Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB2544521)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2544893)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 8 for Windows XP (KB2530548)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2536276)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2535512)
Security Update for Windows XP (KB2503665)

    The error code is 0x8007F0DA.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried disabling your anti-virus software while trying to install these fixes?

Did you see Error code 0x8007F0DA when you use Windows Update or You can not install some updates?

    Success

    Joe,

I hadn't considered trying that. What I actually did was try to shut down all running programs before attempting the update. I don't which one was the culprit, but it did work.

    Thank you.
