    DOSBox

I, only last night, discovered and started fiddling with DOSBox V1.1.0 (which is freeware).
Firstly I struggled to change the Z:/ prompt to a C:/ prompt.
Now that I have successfully accomlished this, I am faced with another major setback and to make the situation even worse, this issue isn't addressed in the help menu.

My dilemma is DOSBox gives a message reading, "this operation is not permitted in secure mode"

As previously mentioned the help menu doesn't mention how to disable secure mode. Would anyone know how and where to turn this feature on/off?
I am using Windows 7 Premium.

    Robko,

I'm not familiar with the program but have you tried starting it by Right-Clicking and selecting Run as Administrator?

DOSBox (is supposedly) able to execute old DOS based games.

I have DOSBox working just fine to run Incredible Machine and Warcraft II. What are the DOSBox commands you are running? Here is what I use to run Warcraft II:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\DOSBox-0.74\dosbox.exe" -c "mount d d:\cds\war2.exp -t cdrom" -c "mount c c:\apps\dosbox" -c "c:" -c "cd war2" -c "war2" -exit

The c:\apps\war2.exp\ directory is a copy of the CD - I simply copied the files form the CD to the hard drive.
The c:\apps\war directory is where I installed Warcraft II.
From what I recall, to install the game, I ran the first 2 "mount" commands and then did a "cd d:" and ran the installer (as indicated by the game docs).
