    Updates to VISA

For the past few days, I have been constantly downloading and installing updatesto my VISA base. They seem most to be "important security upgrades". It is a chore to install them two at a time. I wish there was someway I could download all these at once, and get it over with. Or, I wish Microsoft would issue an upgrade with all of them in it. I guess I am wising too much from Microsoft. They do things their way or nothing.

My question is, are all these updates necessarry, and if so is there a way to install more than two at a time, maybe all of them at one time. I have probably installed more than 40 in the last week, and you might know, there are two more waiting for me to download and install righ now.

    Thanks!

MS does not do updates in this way. They issue updates on Tuesday, and then all updates are issued at once, not 2 at a time the way you are describing. There may be a setup problem with your installation. Here is a brief tutorial of Windows Up dates in Vista.

    In reply to your answers:

    1. Yes, I have Vista Service Pack 2 installed

    2. Here are the way the updates have been coming to me:

3 on 6/30/11 (just installed including one to nvida hardware
    2 on 6/29/11
    20 on 6/28/11
    6 om 6/27/11
    8 on 6/15/11

I have never had this problem. As a matter of fact after the recent 3 I have just installed, the new updates icon is on again. I don't mind the updates, but not 2 at a time. It's aggrevating. I have checked my settings. Thye are set to notify me of update but not to automatically install them. I am not sure what to do short of turning off the updates and doing it manually

    Thanks for your help!
