    Actually, it's courtesy of Nir Sofer who wrote it, plus a whole heap of extremely useful "systems administration"-type utilities...

    +1 for NirSoft - I've found some of those utilities as handy as the ones from sysinternals.

    Great find by Gizmo!

    BTW, Ubuntu has a utility like this built in- click the battery icon in the taskbar and select "Laptop battery [time remaining here]". Additionally, it tells you the computer's power consumption and other statistics (if the motherboard/battery/power supply has those sensors)
