    Windows 7 losing internet connection

Is anyone else having Windows suddenly announce "Lost internet connection" then shutting down the program you are on? At best, the "lost internet connection" seems to have lasted less than a few seconds.

More info needed. What type of connection (cable, DSL, dial up), what type of modem/router. Could also be an infection causing this. Quite often a virus will shut down internet connection to stop downloading of tools to fight the virus.

Sounds like it's the program you're using that's dumping the connection because normally if you lose the connection it doesn't shut the program down. And it could be as Ted stated malware.
