    Can task history be cleared?

    Hello,

I'm running Win7Pro and I have a repeating task. It's building a lot of history and I would like to delete it--the history that is, not the task. The 'Delete' option under 'Selected Item" in Task Scheduler offers to delete the task. I know I can "Disable All Tasks History", but I would like to have history on some tasks. Is there a way to clear the history for just this task?

    Thanks

The Task Scheduler history is just a view of an event log. With Windows 7 there are many, many events being logged all the time. I'd not worry about it. The log file for Task Scheduler events is setup to be a maximum 10MB in size and when the log file is full older entries are automatically overwritten.

I have several tasks, that run every time I boot up my PC. But I don't run them from the task scheduler.....
I put a shortcut to them in the Startup folder. Works for me!

Experience is truly the best teacher.

    Backup! Backup! Backup! GHOST Rocks!
