    Windows Vista diagnostics

I recently had to blow off my copy of Windows Vista and reload it using the recovery disks. The operating system seems to work fine however, I am unable to access any of my diagnostic software within the OS. When I click on the links, up pops Notepad with a bunch of junk on it. Any help with this problem would be appreciated.

Sounds like the links you're clicking are associated with Notepad. Try right-clicking the link, click "Open with", click "Choose default program" and navigating to the .exe for the program and choosing it. Before clicking it however uncheck "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file".

Which diagnostic s/w are you attempting to access? Where are the links located? (if the links are shortcuts to the real link you might have to delete the shortcut and recreate them)
