    Disallow Typing for ComboBox (2000)

I'm using a drop down ComboBox in my macro. Is there a property to disable the user's ability to click in the combo box and type? Or can I use a different form structure than a ComboBox to acheive a drop down menu? I don't want the user fiddling with the text in the combo box.

You could set the Style property to number 2 (fmStyleDropDownList), which limits the selection to the data in the given source and no typing is accepted. This applies to both Form (VBA) and Sheet based combo boxes.

There is also a Match Required property, which if set to true, returns an error if any text other than the data source is entered, but the Style property is probably more what you want.

Why not just use a List Box Control instead?
