    On New Mail Event? (98/2000)

I've seen multiple examples of how to create a new task, but what's the best way to have those tasks created based upon new mail? I think I have a blind spot, because I haven't been able to find it. When all is said and done, I hope to have new tasks created based upon the sender and subject of of any new mail messages, then have the message deleted.

Is VBScript appropriate for this, or should I be looking at an add-in (DLL)?

I am not sure about any VBS or add-in solutions to this, but you could try using the right mouse button to click and drag the email to the task folder.

This will provide you with a list of options including "copy as task with text or shortcut or attachment" or "move as task with attachment". The move option is probably your best bet as it will remove the email from the inbox.

I am sure some of the VB gurus at the Lounge will be able to provide you with some script which will achieve the same result automatically.

    Hope this helps.

Still looking for that automatic fix. Thanks anyway, Barry <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 alt=smile width=15 height=15>
