    Importing Categories into Live Mail

Ever since we got Win7 I'm having trouble with Live Mail. We use hotmail (actually a @msn.com email account). WLM doesn't want to import the categories (groups of names) into my husband's WLM but it did import all of mine. Well, it imported a few of his groups but not all. I know I can export the contacts as a .csv file but when I do that and look at the contacts in Excel, the groups (categories) don't seem to be there. Is there a way to solve this? WLM works perfectly otherwise and my email account in WLM has had all of its groups imported to WLM.

I am at a loss at what to do and my husband is driving me crazy because he doesn't have all his groups.

Another question, if I import the contacts using a .csv files will there then be duplicates of the ones already there? Or is WLM smart enough to not import the ones already there?

    Pam

    Hi Pam,
I don't know about mail account @msn.com but a @hotmail.com in WLM is not compatible if the acc. is HTTPS. My Gmail acc. is HTTPS and works perfectly in WLM.
If you acces the acc. directly, you can delete duplicates.

I check my Hotmail every day through WLM, no problems at all. I also check my Road Runner acccounts through WLM, again no problems.

If you import your contacts, you probably see duplicates on the ones already there, but you can simply delete the duplicates, no sweat.
