    Explorer 99%

If I open explorer folder with a .flv file. Explorer CPU uses goes to 99% even after I close explorer. To stop it I have to reboot. I have Windows 7 Home Premium.

    Hello cmpb54,

Frustrating problem. I had heard of this before and remembered that some folks were experiencing the same problem, and QuickTime was sometimes found to be the culprit. See if this discussion may help. Scroll down a ways for the QuickTime mention. Note that those who were able to correct their problem by uninstalling QuickTime had to get rid of ALL of it, even pieces that were left behind. If you don't use QuickTime, some other parts of the discussion may help.

    Good luck,
    John
