Clip Collection, I have TOO Many! (W2000 Pro)

I have recently installed Office 2000 Pro. When I ask Word to insert a picture, I get around 40 icons that scroll down and they all say Clip Collection.

Is this right? How can I have just one.

    Hi, Sandy.

Each icon represents a catagory. If you select one, you'll see the clips which are in that category. If you find this bothersome, you can use a work-around. First, go to the File Locations tab from the Tools / Options menu. Select Clipart and click on Modify. Depending on your operating system (I'm on Win98SE) the clipart is at crogram filescommon filesmicrosoft sharedclipartcagcat50

When you want to use the clipart go to Insert / Picture / From file. If you change the view to Preview, you'll see what you're more familiar with from prior versions.

    Karen,

I tried your work around. Nothing happened. All the clip collections go to the same pop up box. Does not appear to select a different catagory of clip art.

Can you suggest anything else? I am in WME

    Sandy
