    Kapersky Rescue Disc

I downloaded this and tried to use it with my Dell Studio 17. It booted OK and ran, but the graphic interface never came up. After some non-graphical display, the computer had a blank screen and nothing happened. I have the Intel Series 4 Express chipset in the computer. KAV requires a VESA compatible video chipset. I couldn't find whether or not my chip set is compatible. Has anyone used this disk and had this problem and resolved it? I would like to get this to work.

OK, I ran the disk using the text interface and it worked fine. Took 7 hours to run, but it did a thorough job on all my disks. After it ended, there was an option to go into the graphic interface, and by selecting that the graphical interface came up and worked on the computer. So, I still don't know why it didn't run the first time but at least I now know how to get there.
