I have IE9, Firefox, and Chrome on my systems and with the latest updates to browsers, I find no significant speed difference between them. Browser choice these days are more about the features you prefer and stability.

I think the performance numbers are meaningless unless the are large differences on many sites. As I said, I have Chrome, IE9, and firefox on my systems and use all three at different times. I have a set of 16 sites in a tab group that I open daily in one shot. The all open within a second or two difference on each browser. Real life experience is what matters most. Add ons can make a big difference in loading time. I try to use as few as I can.

My image shows IE9 to be 12 seconds slower than FF when loading the same page.

I'm not sure what's wrong with your IE9 but mine loaded WWW.howtogeek.com in 1 second. In fact FF 5 felt just slightly slower. (No more than a second).

Hi Jerry, try this site http://www.makeuseof.com/ on all your installed browsers. It's damn slow on my FF.

It comes up almost instantly on all 3. Only thing I can think of is one of your add ons is slowing things down.

Never thought of that, though will try it later. I don't use many addons.
