    Software to Schedule Classes

This may be a strange place to post this question but I've gotten good answers before so I'm hoping someone has a suggestion.

I am chair of a college business program. Up to now, we have arranged our class schedule each semester by hand, mainly using post it notes on a white board. However, we are growing rapidly and that method is getting too clunky.

Can anyone suggest software to help with the process? It would need to show the schedules visually and it would be very useful if it could track resources since we have a limited number of classrooms. Thanks.

You could try Google Docs with a planner template.

Google Docs has the advantage that it can be shared with the students and you could, in theory, set a schedule in a shared calendar that people subscribe to. No excuses for missing class if their phone's text them with an alert!
