    Word 2003 Automatic Line Generation

    In word 2003, if you type a line of dashes, Autocorrect adds a page-wide underline to that paragraph. When you first do it, Word offers you an undo option. Later on, you seem to be stuck with it.

    I have a document that has such an underlined paragraph, and I can't get rid of it. It keeps popping up in other paragraphs, when I try to move the one it's on, etc.

    Right now, it's the last paragraph in the document.

    How do I get rid of this underlined paragraph and its clones? (I've tried everything I can think of.)

    Briefly, Autoformat as you type has added a paragraph border either before or after your line. Try going to the paragraph just before the line. check the border and shading formatting.
