browser errors

I am using Win98 and Office2000. I am experiencing a persistent invalid page fault error which occurs when closing either IE 5.5 or Netscape Navigator 4.74. The memory location of the invalid page fault 015f:bff7b997 is always the same. I experience an identical error on another machine running identical software. I started getting the error with IE 5.01 but the upgrade to 5.5 has had no effect. The Windows diagnostic dump looks like:-
IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff7b997.

Although this error seems to have no effect on performance it is certainly very annoying. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this error with both browsers?

I'm having the same prolem but mine is with Win Me & IE5.5 !
Can someone please help with an answer as to how to get rid of the error message permanently. Is that possible? My computer crashes after the error message. Have to restart everytime!
Would appreciate any help I can get.
