HowTo On Printer Install, Virtual PC/XP Mode

I was able to get Virtual PC and XP Mode installed on a Win7 Professional machine, but have failed to get the user's printer, an HP Photosmart, to install. I downloaded the XP install package for the printer from the HP website, but the install fails at the point it asks for the USB cable from the printer to be plugged into the PC. Any suggestions?

One of the menus you get for XP mode is USB. If you click there, you will get a list of USB connected peripherals and your printer should be listed there. If you click over the menu, Virtual PC will ask you if you want to attach the printer. Reply yes and see if that allows you to setup the printer.

I did see that USB menu in the bar at the top of the XP Mode desktop. I think my only choice was Attach. I clicked on that, but the install still wouldn't complete.
