    Is it a Feature???

    HI!

    I need to know if the following issue is problem or a 'feature' <img src=/S/wink.gif border=0 alt=wink width=15 height=15>

I have a user who manages her bosses calendar. She sets up his appointments, he views them in Outlook or syncs with his PalmV to take his schedule on the road.

Ok... dandy so far... everything works as it should... until... She creates an event over 4 or 5 days. Works in her calendar, his laptop calendar... but once he syncs it breaks it up into daily appointments.

This wouldn't be so bad except she puts a lot of notes for him in the event and they are gone when Palm V syncs and breaks it into daily appointments.

So boys and girls... can this be corrected to leave it as an event spanning multiple days in his Palm V or is it a feature and we must live with the pain?

    Thanks one and all!

Palm OS does not support a multi-day event.
What I do to get round this is to create the event as a daily recurring event in Outlook. You can then attach the note to the series and they should then be kept when syncing with the Palm.
I admit that I use DeskTopToGo to sync with Outlook rather than Palm's own software, but I encountered the problem you mention and this fixed it

FWIW, it's about the same with ipaq - so it's not just a palm issue.

I use PocketMirror with my Palm Vx, and the same happens. I believe the professional version of PocketMirror behaves better, but I think it is a limitation of the Palm Datebook.

    see item 7 here:
