    1.8-inch Laptop SSD?

I've got an aging laptop with a very S-L-O-W hard drive. I'd like to replace it with an SSD, but I can't seem to find one that fits. The current drive is a 1.8-inch Toshiba MK3006GAL (ATA-100).

I can't find any SSDs smaller than 2.5-inch. Does anyone know if 1.8-inch ATA-100 SSDs even exist?

    Thanks!

All the SSD's I've seen that are 1.8 inch are of SATA II or SATA III.
It's possible that your laptop is just too old or antiquated for SSD tech.

How old is your laptop and what does the manufacturer say about SSD upgrade possibilities?

It's a Dell Latitude X1, about six years old. Mfg support has been poor since purchase, including shipping it with a defective HDD (lots of read-write errors) and refusing to acknowledge or take responsibility. I finally had to swap it out at my expense, so it's actually the system's second drive that I'm seeking to replace.

Thanks for finding the 1.8-inch drives -- don't know how I missed them! I think you're right WRT interface. It looks like only SATA is available.
