    Text in the Google bar

When I go to Google Scholar (scholar.google.com) in IE 9, the address bar already has text in it -- "French + metee".

I'm not sure I recall putting it in there, but I do know I cannot get rid of it. How do I reset that page to "empty"?

    Regards,

I just tried something else, trying to eliminate variables: I closed everything, then hit Win+R, typed in "www.scholar.google.com" and hit return.

Sure enough, "French + metee" was there in the box!

That's what is so totally weird Bruce. When I go to Google, all is OK. Then, within Google, I'll do a search "scholar", and, quite naturally, Google Scholar is at the top of the list. I click it, and Google Scholar comes up -- with "French + metee" in the search box!
