    Google mail used offline

Can Google mail be saved to my HDD and read when off line, and replied to when back on line?
    I am running Vista home?
    Thanks Jimmy

    Rubyjim,

You can do this via an email client like Outlook, which I use form my gmail, or maybe Thunderbird {free} which I have not used but I don't see why it wouldn't link to gmail.

As RG said, you can read gmail using the POP protocol on an email client. The instructions for using Gmail POP are here.

You can also use Windows Live Mail as a mail client similar to Thunderbird.
