    Missing tabs in Excel 2007

I have an Excel file in which tabs for worksheets disappear when one large worksheet is selected. This problem does not occur if other sheets are selected (using the worksheet listing), and I have not found this symptom in other Excel files. I've tried maximizing/resizing; I've tried View options; etc. A snapshot is attached.

    Spqapat,

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here as I don't have you workbook to test but here goes.
I notice that in your screenshot that SPLIT is selected on the view menu but I only see one of the splits on the screen. Could you have possibly moved the dividing line to the far left or right and the other split is the active one? Only the ACTIVE split will show the tabs. Again, this is just a guess from the info provided.
