    Pinning Folders

I am using Windows 7 and I have a number of folders that I use regularly that I have pinned. From time to time these folders disppear from the list that has been pinnwd i.e for some unkown reason they unpin on their own & I need to pin these again

It would be appreciated if someone could advise me on how to prevent this from happening

    Hi Howard,

It sounds like you are referring to pinning a folder to your Start Menu rather than your Taskbar. Windows 7 by default does not allow you to pin a file folder to your Start Menu.

But there is a work around. See this SevenForums tutorial on pinning/unpinning a folder to your Windows 7 Start Menu.

The easiest way to pin a folder to your Taskbar is to bring back the Quick Launch bar we saw in previous versions of Windows.

Finally, if you do not want the Quick Launch bar restored, you can follow this tutorial to pin a file folder to your Windows 7 Taskbar.
