    Freeware gems

An interesting article from CNET. If for nothing else, Wizmouse alone justifies the reading, if you have a mouse with a wheel.

I use Fences, its very useful to me. I tried WizMouse. I found that for me, it was a solution in search of a problem. But a co-worker of mine just loves it.

Freeware Gems! Now that's a very complex subject.

There's Freeware, Shareware, Abandonware, Trials, Demo's, and just plain old Retail Software.
I won't even jeopardize my standing by mentioning the OTHER kind of software.
But we all know it exists, don't we?

Getting right to the point of my post, some of the best software in the world, from some of the Worlds best software vendors, is available absolutely FREE. Does that make it FREEWARE? Well, sort of, but not exactly. It gets complicated.
To get it and use it you still have to agree to their terms of use.

Let me cite one very good example or what I'm talking about.
AVG 2012 FREE has just been released. It incorporates the same AV engine as the full retail version, but without all the bells and whistles.
I've used the 2011 version and share it with all my hundreds of customers and it works great. Did I mention, it's 100% FREE?

I could go on and on for several pages, just listing the really great FREE software that I use now and have used for years, with only an occasional 'Donation' to the writers.

We really should be a little quicker to help support those who write really good software and then let us use it for FREE.

    Cheers Mates!
