    Word 2007 Numbered list spaceing

When I create a document with a numbered list that has more than 99 items in the list the spaces between the number and the text increases for those items. I am not able to find any way to change this.

It's a problem with the tab stops in the paragraph format. You could try this: select all the numbered paragraphs and click the lower right corner of the paragraph section of the ribbon to open the Paragraph Format dialog. Click the Tabs... button then Clear All and OK. Click Tabs... again and set a tab in between the 0.5 inch and 1.0 inch stops, e.g., 0.75 inches. This should cause all the tabs to align to the same location. At least until you get to 1000 items...

Edit: Direct formatting is okay for a one-off, but if you need this often, you might want to define a style with the desired settings built in.
