    MS Windows Update

Well just found out that I had automatic update checked within Win7l. So my question is, how do I delete all the old entries in MS Config, all the old lists of applications since deleted or no longer used?

Open Windows Update window (Start Orb, All Programs) Click on Change Settings link (left side of Window) Use drop down box to set how you wish to control WU.

Entries in Msconfig are programs or program components that have been installed in your computer. If you don't need a program, you can remove it using Programs and Features in Control Panel.

An app I use to disable or delete start up apps is What's Im Startup. Great, but simple app from a very good developer.

If you have Ccleaner installed you can delete unused entries in msconfig from there. Tools>startup. Highlight everything that is not enabled and delete.

CCleaner has many useful tools. You can delete old temp files, log files, clean your registry of all the leftover junk, delete apps, wipe free space, shut down startup apps, and the list goes on. Very nifty app.
