    Autoconnect to Web from mail

When I click on a new mail message in Outlook 2000 if the mail contains a URL and I am not connected to my ISP an automatic attempt to connect begins. Often I do not want to connect at that time and I have to click cancel several times. Is there a way to turn off this "feature"?

    only by disabling autoconnect.

try reading mail in chilton preview, it doesn't render html or use WYB, it can be set to remove those html tags and prevent dialing out.
chilton is at http://www.slipstick.com and WYB is at http://www.grinningshark.com
