Internet pages are four times larger than laptop display!

I have just purchased a new Lenovo Thinkpad E420. When I bring up a website in IE9 (Windows 7 Home), the webpage is WAY bigger than the laptop's screen. Screen resolution is set to maximum (1366 x 768). I assume that there is a way to scale the page down to fit the screen, but don't know where to look. Any help, please?

    Bob,

Click on the page then hold the Ctrl key down while using the mouse wheel. Away from you increase size and toward you decreases {more on screen} size.

If the browser menus and controls also are freakishly large, check whether your IE9 shortcut is set to run in a Windows Compatibility mode. (This is different than IE's internal compatibility mode for web pages.)
