Does anyone know of a script that can be ran on a client PC to export the events in an Outlook calendar by date range (e.g., 01/01/01 to 12/31/01) to an excel or access database?
Thanks,
Gary W. Haney

Why don't you just use the import and export facility of Outlook itself. It will create an excel or access file for specified dates, with calendar infor in it.
This will indeed work EXCEPT if your calendar contains recurring appointments/meetings, the recurring items won't export correctly - you don't get ALL of the appointments. For example, I have a weekly meeting that is set up as "recurring". When I export, only ONE appointment is exported (the first one I created). If I need the other dates in my access table, I have to manually enter them. Microsoft knows that this is a problem. Additionally, Outlook will NOT export required attendees. Yes, Microsoft knows about the bug. That bug existed in Outlook 98 and I had hoped it would be fixed in 2000 but NOT!
As far as programmatically exporting items to Access, look up Article ID: Q253794 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
I hope this helps. <img src=/S/angel.gif border=0 alt=angel width=15 height=21>
