    get list of form names into a table

    hi

    I have a small job to do an a very large database frontend.

    I need to get a list of every form name and report name into a table
    one name per record. this will become part of an internal index/menu system.
    with 100+ forms and 400+ reports - a little it of automation would be nice.

    i am quite good at applications development but this little routine is right out of my usual area of expertise

    thanks in advance for any sugestions

    cheers
    Paul G

    To get a list of the form names you can use this query:

    Code:
    SELECT MSysObjects.Name, MSysObjects.Type
    FROM MSysObjects
    WHERE (((MSysObjects.Type)=-32768));
    For reports:

    SELECT MSysObjects.Name, MSysObjects.Type
    FROM MSysObjects
    WHERE (((MSysObjects.Type)=-32764));

    These could be converted to an append query.

    Just for interest, this thread shows you another to get a list. to put them into a table you would need to add a line to each iteration of the loop.
