    Intermittent: Losing connections to internet

Two or three tabs open & suddenly can't refresh or open new window.
    "Server not found" message.
Happening approx. every 1-2 hrs. over last 4 weeks.
Happens on laptop & on desktop.
    On Firefox & on IE
I can see the files on the other computer.
But I can't connect to the router's home page (i.e.192.168.1.1).
I can ping the router, google & 8.8.8.8??
If I close the browser completely & reopen, it works again for about 1 to 2 hours!!?
Happened while writing this...*^%$#....copied & pasted!
Driving me crazy. Grateful for any help!

What type of router is it?How old is the router?Do you have cat 5E cable's running? If it has been a while since you have updated the firmware.I can only hope you have access to a friends computer. So you can down load the update firmware with out trouble.

Solved problem! Had nothing to do with router or browser! After multiple testing, found that live streamer (sunguard, wallst.powerdata) was causing whichever browser to lockup after approx. one hr. or so, on 2 different pcs. Streamer is provided by my bank (this is the older version (java based) which is better than the newer version). Though they both suck!!!
Sunguards subtle way to ween people off old streamer??? Bad software getting worse??? Complained to bank...but feel I'm wasting my breathe! Tried to find way to contact sunguard directly to bitch...but they're well insulated!!!
