    Windows Explorer Startup Loop

    Hey,

I have a problem with my Windows 7 desktop.
When I log in to my account, it only displays the taskbar and I see "Windows Explorer has stopped working" message. Then it says "Windows Explorer is restarting", and goes into a loop. Safe mode doesn't help. Help?

You may need to run a repair install of Win 7.

Can you boot into Safe Mode without the error? If yes, try running MSConfig, click on the start tab and disable everything. Reboot and see if the problem goes away. IF it does, use a process of elimination to determine the culprit. If the problem is still there, rerun MSConfig in safe mode again, click on the services tab, click on Hide all Microsoft services, and disable the rest. Reboot and try again. If you now run OK, use a process of elimination to determine the culprit.

I'll try jwitalka's solution first and see if the problem is still there. I can boot into safe mode.

EDIT: Still there; I'll hide the Microsoft services.
EDIT: Bah, still there. Any help?
